Utahns will have the chance to interact with U.S. Navy sailors and learn about how the Navy serves Americans during Salt Lake Navy Week, Sept. 11-17.
SALT LAKE CITY — If everything you know about the U.S. Navy comes from watching "Top Gun," it might be time to change that.on Sept. 11-17 as more than 50 Navy admirals, captains, commanders and sailors will participate in community outreach events throughout Salt Lake City.
The Navy has hosted Navy Week in up to 15 cities each year since 2005. This will be the Navy's third time in Salt Lake City, after visiting the city in 2014 and 2017. This year's Salt Lake Navy Week"The United States Navy plays a pivotal role in protecting and defending our nation," Gov. Spencer Cox said in a statement to KSL.
