The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo returns to NRG Park. The event attracts more than two million people each year. There will be 20 musical acts this year.
HOUSTON — Texans are gearing up for a grandtime as one of the state’s biggest events returns. Thursday kicked off opening day of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with the fan favorite barbecue cookoff.
The event attracts more than two million people each year to NRG Park. Rodeo-goers look forward to not only one the livestock show, but food, musical performances and attractions. Big musical acts such as Bun B, will host Bun B’s Southern Takeover for a second year in a row on March 3. The annual show brings familiar faces back to center stage such as Parker McCollum, who will perform opening night. This year’s big ticket names also include Machine Gun Kelly, who is making his rodeo debut, Chris Stapleton and Luke Bryan who perform on March 14, March 16, and March 19, respectively.
