UIL regional tournament spots are on the line Monday through Wednesday as many of the Houston area's best tennis teams remain.
The regional quarterfinal round includes four matches in which a local district champion will end its season, perhaps more as teams advance to the final 16 in their respective state brackets. The Region II-6A tournament is scheduled for Thursday and Friday at Mansfield High School, with the semifinals beginning at 1 p.m. and the final at 10 a.m. the following morning.
Region III-6A teams will play at Deer Park High School, with semifinal matches at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Thursday, followed by a 9 a.m. final on Friday. A&M Consolidated High School hosts the Region III-5A and Region III-4A tournaments, with 5A matches beginning at 8:30 a.m. and 4A matches starting at 1 p.m. both days.
