House Speaker Mike Johnson is moving forward with his 'best worst option' to get votes on foreign aid for Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan, an expert said Tuesday.

House Speaker Mike Johnson is moving forward with his "best worst option" to get votes on foreign aid for Israel , Ukraine and Taiwan , an expert said Tuesday.
“If it weren't going to pass, Johnson would just put it up, it would fail, and then they would pass a separate Israel bill,” Allen said. “We didn't think it was fair or right for the House to be, you know, rolled by the Senate,” Johnson said during an appearance on Fox News. “They sent us a large bill, where everything was merged together, the Senate supplemental. That was not the will of the House. The will of the house is to address it in single subjects, you know in regular order and a regular process, with an amendment process. That's the way this is supposed to work.
“That's probably the way it'll shake out,” Johnson said. “And the beauty of this process is, again, that every member, Republican and Democrat, can vote their own district and their own conscience on this thing.” “It would be good for these things to be passed,” Allen said. “It would be a good signal to the rest of the world that it be passed.”
“It was never that secure to begin with, and it's definitely not more secure now than it was,” Burgat said.
