As the House's first order of business upon selecting Rep. Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House, the chamber voted in favor of a resolution expressing support for Israel and condemning Hamas terrorists after the October 7 terrorist attack against our ally in the Middle East. Although the resolution passed overwhelmingly, 412-10, there were some noteworthy"no" and"present" votes.
The resolution was submitted by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Mike McCaul to do with"Standing with Israel as it defends itself against the barbaric war launched by Hamas and other terrorists."...
