Another Arctic April plunge will deep freeze parts of the UK
Sleet slushed across parts of the UK on Monday and the freezing, thundery, rainy weather shows no sign of abating just yet - with another Arctic April plunge pushing parts of England and Scotland into a deep freeze this week, say forecasters.
The Met Office has also given its verdict on the unseasonably poor spring and forecast when the weather will finally turn for the better.It comes just days after forecasters Ventusky predicted Monday would be a shocker, with predictions of thunder and rain coming to pass, with sleet spotted in parts of North Leeds on Monday morning.
For the areas lucky enough to avoid snow, there will still be sheets of torrential rain to contend with instead.
