Rain is expected to arrive later
See the hour-by-hour forecast for Northampton as heavy snow grips the county. Yesterday saw a deluge of the white stuff fall throughout the day.
Feels-like temperatures dropped to around -4C as Tuesday night was confirmed by the Met Office as the coldest night of the year so far according to the Daily Mirror. Between 3 - 5cm of snow was expected to fall across the region yesterday , with some areas maybe seeing 5 - 8cm. Today there will be heavy snow throughout the morning before giving way to rain later this evening.Northamptonshire remains on the edge of a yellow Met Office warning that is in force until 2pm tomorrow . Meanwhile, the UK Health Security Agency has extended their cold weather alert to last until after the weekend.
