'This is terrifying': Horror on the street where police have launched murder investigation after man found dead
Residents of a south Manchester street have spoken of their horror after discovering a murder investigation has been launched just metres away from their own front doors. A man, aged 42, was found dead in a house on Beverly Road in Fallowfield on Saturday night with a 22-year-old male now in custody and being questioned on suspicion of murder.
"We haven't been told anything about what has gone on. For all we know there could have been a murderer on the loose and there are people on this street with children." "The police got here at around half past six, but we didn't see anyone getting arrested and put in a police car until much later, it was around 10.30pm I think."
A mum-of-one, who also lives on Beverly Road told the M.E.N that police had attended the same property 'a few months ago' but that she did not know the people who lived there. "We just want to be informed about what is going on where we live," she added. "All I want to know is that my child and my family are safe."
