Mark Beechum, 28, was arrested and taken into custody following the death of Leamon Beechum, 75.
Police responded to a call in the 3200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Street Wednesday evening, in which the caller said Mark Beechum was at the location and wanted to turn himself in for murder, according to a Dallas police news release.
The 28-year-old was taken into custody. Officers then went to the 500 block of W. Saner Avenue, where they found Leamon Beechum, 75, dead in the home.An investigation determined that an argument between the men at the Saner Ave. location turned physical and the senior of the two died at the scene, according to Dallas police.Mark Beechum faces a murder charge and was booked into Dallas County Jail 6:30 a.m. Thursday, but no bond has been set. It is unclear whether he has an attorney.
