The embattled Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. has voted to adopt Todd Boehly's plan to transform the nonprofit into a for-profit venture under his corporate umbrella Eldridge Industries.

Boehly, chairman of private equity firm Eldridge Industries, the parent company of longtime Globes producer Dick Clark Productions , presented his plan during an April general membership meeting. The move comes as the embattled association has been working to reform itself and get back on track with Hollywood.
