The presenter was said to be 'distraught' after finding out about the reported kidnapping plans and was taken out of ITV's schedule
The 42-year-old presenter was pulled from ITV's This morning programme on Thursday after discovering the alleged threat and was later given protection by police. A man is reported to have been arrested at a flat in Harlow prompting the police response.
The outlet says the person is not known to the star and was 'in police custody last night'. Police reportedly remain outside the suspect's flat, where he lives alone.
