Workers across the country will see some significant changes to their wage in just a couple of weeks.
Meanwhile, an additional cure to National Insurance will see workers save more on their regular wages. Here's a breakdown of the major changes affecting personal wages in April.National Insurance cut National insurance will face an additional cut of 2 per cent after it was already slashed in January. From April 6, National Insurance will go from 10 per cent to 8 per cent. National Insurance contributions are collected by HM Revenue and Customs .
Mr Hunt said: "From April 6, employee national insurance will be cut by another 2p, from 10% to 8%, and self-employed national insurance will be cut from 8% to 6%. Increase to minimum wage Millions of workers will see an increase in the National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage by at least 10 per cent. For the first time, people aged 21 and 22 are being included in the higher National Living Wage, which will be set at £11.44 from April 1 and take the lowest a full-time adult worker can be paid to £22,308 per year.
