Eating lamb When it comes to the food eaten at Easter in Scotland, the most traditional choice is roast lamb, and there are actually many reasons for this. Meanwhile, according to the National Trust for Scotland, there are plenty of other treats you can whip up this Easter if you aren't a fan of lamb. These include simnel cake, which is full of fruits and spices and topped with marzipan, and of course hot cross buns.
