, N.J., that is at the center of a lawsuit over plans to knock it down and build luxury houses was sold last week to the developer for $1.7 million, the listing agent confirmed.
Michael Butler, the attorney representing the Mother of Mercy parish in Asbury Park and the Diocese of Trenton, which oversees the church property, confirmed Crossroads at Asbury Park LLC purchased the property. City officials denied they did anything improper, called the developer’s claims frivolous and requested the case be dismissed, according to court records.
