Kojima Productions has threatened legal action after being falsely linked to the assassination of former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe.
Last week, Japan's former prime minister was shot and killed during a political campaign rally.
Security arrested 41-year-old Tetsuya Yamagami, who admitted to shooting Abe with a homemade gun, but inaccurate social media posts soon sprung up, misidentifying game designer Hideo Kojima as the shooter.
