'Hero' dad dies saving two kids from riptide as family pay tribute
A HEROIC dad has tragically drowned after saving two kids from a vicious riptide off the coast of Wales.
Hywel Morgan, 47, had rushed to help after spotting a group of youngsters in difficulty in the sea at Poppit Sands, St Dogmaels, Ceredigion.He had noticed the youngsters in difficulty in the sea at Poppit Sands off the coast of WalesThe "devoted" dad assisted in the dramatic rescue on Friday evening and managed to save the pair caught in a rip current., was then recovered from the sea but sadly could not be saved by the emergency services.
