From a memorial stair climb to the Ohio Statehouse's annual flag display, a number of events are planned in Greater Columbus for the 21st anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.
The Madison Township Fire Department will hold its annual remembrance ceremony at 1 p.m. at the museum, 5075 S. Hamilton Road. The museum is home to a number of
, including a fire truck that was crushed during the collapse of the north and south towers. Its hours on Sunday are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission will be free.The department is holding a 9/11 remembrance ceremony at its station, 16300 County Home Road, at 9:50 a.m.While the city of Hilliard is not hosting a traditional ceremony or observance on Sunday, a police officer will be assigned to First Responders Park and serve as a tour guide there from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
