Spock doesn't understand what a 'blooper' is.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Lieutenant Hemmer returns in Star Trek: very Short Treks, which is also the weirdest episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds yet. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Trek: The Animated Series, Casper Kelly created 5 comedic shorts called Star Trek: very Short Treks in the TAS animation style.
This week's new Star Trek: very Short Treks episode titled "Holiday Party" features the return of Bruce Horak as Hemmer. In the comedic short, a holiday party on the USS Enterprise goes terribly wrong as Lt. Spock misunderstands what a 'blooper reel' is.
The appearance of Saru is a bit odd as the footage Spock shows of a terrible starship collision that kills 6,000 people is apparently witnessed by the USS Shenzhou in Star Trek: Discovery. Captain Philippa Georgiou is apparently in command, but Saru is wearing his red Captain's uniform from Star Trek: Discovery season 4, which is a strange anachronism.
Star Trek: very Short Treks new episodes are released Wednesdays on StarTrek.com and the Star Trek YouTube channel.
