The reality TV star took to Snapchat on Thursday morning to share the happy news from her hospital bed. “I was screaming in the hospital. It was 45 minutes later that I delivered him. So I’m really glad we came to the hospital. It was about an hour and 15-minute delivery total,” Montag said.showing just how chaotic the speedy delivery was. The video shows Montag trying to remain calm while going through contractions in the passenger seat of the couple’s car.
After making it to the hospital just in time, Montag sailed through a healthy delivery. A representative for the couple confirmed withthat "Both baby and Mom are happy and healthy! He was born at 11:31 am, weighing 7 lbs. and 9 oz.” Montag noted that the new baby boy looked just like his older brother Gunner Stone, 5, who was born in the same delivery room.
The proud parents announced on Snapchat today that they chose the name Ryker for their new baby boy. German in origin,is a gender-neutral name meaning “rich” and has become more popular throughout the United States in recent years. Montag carried Ryker for 38 weeks before bringing him into the world this week. In an Instagram photo posted not long before her delivery, the TV personality noted, “I didn’t think I would make it this far. Officially pregnant longer than I was with Gunner.”
Pratt and Montag first announced that they were expecting their second child in June with a feature in US Weekly. Montag posted to Instagram a picture of her featured on the front cover with the caption, “My heart is overflowing with joy! I’m excited to share that I am pregnant!
