The heat wave continues San Diegans ☀ The National Weather Service extended the excessive heat warning through 8 p.m. Wednesday for all areas.

"Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors," the NWS advised."Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.""Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside," the NWS cautioned."When possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
Temperatures will be more manageable at the beaches during the extra-hot spell, but will still climb into the upper 80s. Overnight lows will not offer much relief, staying in the 70s and even in the low 80s in some of the hotter areas.
