G'wed will air on ITV in 2024
A new ITV comedy set and entirely filmed in Liverpool will feature a cast of "fresh, young local talent".
The show is said to delve into Liverpool's working class culture and "surviving with a sense of humour". Scouse kids are "at the heart" of the show, which will tackle big issues like grief, sex, diversity and class differences with a wicked sense of humour.READ MORE: Boss' very public message to employee on his last day of work
"I think sometimes working class depictions on TV can be a bit grim or a bit dreary with no fun to it. I want to show times have changed, there's a funny side to kids and a real side.
