As a result, Kane needs just one more goal for Tottenham to surpass that record and cement his status as the club’s greatest-ever goalscorer.As well as making his mark on the Spurs’ record books, Kane also has his sights set on a Premier League landmark. Kane’s record-equaling strike against City was also his 199th goal in the English top flight, meaning that he is just one away from hitting 200 goals in the league.
As it stands, the Tottenham star is third in the list of all-time top Premier League scorers with Wayne Rooney in second on 208 goals. Kane has some work to do, however, if he’s to become the top goalscorer in Premier League history with Newcastle legend Alan Shearer on 260 goals.
