Coleraine rower Hannah Scott claimed gold alongside Lauren Henry,, Lola Anderson and Georgie Brayshaw in the quadruple sculls
Hannah Scott became Olympic champion on Wednesday following a thrilling finish in the women's quadruple sculls. The Coleraine rower was part of a Team GB quad including Lauren Henry,, Lola Anderson and Georgie Brayshaw who edged out the Netherlands in a photo finish.
Wiffen claimed gold for Ireland in the 800m freestyle, while McMillan was part of the victorious Team GB 4x200m freestyle relay team. Northern Ireland athletes have now won three gold medals at these Games, the first since Stephen Martin and Jimmy Kirkwood were part of the Team GB hockey team that won in Seoul back in 1988.
"I don't think the immensity of this has caught up with me yet. I have just been trying to play it really cool.
