SILVERSTONE, England : McLaren's pace in British Grand Prix qualifying is another wake-up call for Mercedes as they struggle for performance, seven-times world champion Lewis Hamilton warned on Saturday.

"It's not a blow. It’s just a wake-up call for us all that others are overtaking us and we need to do more," he told reporters. "It seems like they have made a massive step in understanding and performance," Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff said of McLaren.
