'My best friend is on a journey that for now, I can't follow'
The 66-year-old, from Barrow-in-Furness, sadly passed away last month. The cook and former make-up artist had been fighting cancer before his death.
Despite these difficult circumstances, King recently shared some uplifting news: the Hairy Bikers have been nominated yet again for the Fortnum And Mason Food And Drink Award's personality of the year gong. He revealed Myers took great pride in this particular honour as it's voted for by the public.The popular foodie friends have already won this award four times in 2014, 2017, 2022, and 2023.
Adding a beacon of hope for the future, he added: "We'll also keep you updated on the events and projects which will live on and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at some of the Summer festivals this year. Si x Voting closes at 12 Noon, 29th March 2024."
