, its already has another big design collab lined up. The Swedish fast fashion giant announced today that it's teaming up with Johanna Ortiz for a ready-to-wear line. Ortiz, who hails from Colombia and is the first designer from Latin America to partner with H&M, follows in the footsteps of past collaborators such as Versace, Balmain, and Kenzo.
The main collection doesn't come out until March of 2020, but an exclusive pre-drop of four dress styles will be released in select stores and online at H&M's website on December 3. The capsule consists of a tunic dress, a wrap dress, a mini dress and a tiered floor-length number. Ortiz also used four different floral prints from her archives in new colorways such as warm yellow, dusty pink, forest green, and coral-infused dark brown.
"The prints all come from my obsession with the flowers, the palm trees and the beautiful colors I am blessed to see out the window when I wake up at home in Cali, in my native Colombia," says Ortiz."The imprint of Latin America and its uniquely festive atmosphere is something that can be felt in each Johanna Ortiz design, so I'm thrilled that so many women in the world will have a little piece of Colombia in their wardrobes thanks to the Johanna Ortiz x H&M collaboration.
