The luxury house will build a new factory in the Marche region that will create 400 new jobs and launch new training programs part of the Gucci École de l’Amour project.
“With this new factory, we wish to guarantee the continuity of the region’s manufacturing tradition, teach the craft skills of stitching and continue to pass on our passion for the product in a highly innovative environment,” said Fausto Pigini, who founded the company in 1979 and is still leading it as chief executive officer.
Pigini will offer a series of training programs for graduates and unemployed youths between the ages of 18 and 26, in order to develop a new generation of professionals, in sync with Gucci’s commitment to Made in Italy craftsmanship.project, which, among its priorities, provides a bimonthly course at the Scuola di Fabbrica — a syllabus developed by Gucci for the purpose of training in the production of leather goods and footwear.
