A complete breakdown of the race from Holmdel Park
Liliah Gordon of Northern Burlington captured the Group 3 girls individual title for the second year in a row at the NJSIAA Group Championships for cross-country on Saturday at Holmdel Park.
Gordon, who has been running competitively since she was in middle school, said there was definitely a different feel to winning again this year. The Meet of Champions takes place next Saturday at Holmdel. The top 10 individuals in each group qualify for the M of C race. After that, the next 30 individuals with the fastest times across all groups combined who have not already qualified via their teams or a top 10 individual finish will get in as wildcards. All six group champs will automatically qualify. Then it is the top eight schools by team score, regardless of group.“I’m excited to see what these other girls ,” she said.
