No, this is how my friend decided to walk down the aisle,” user @tobz88 captioned the clip.The footage shows a hearse pulling up at the outdoor wedding before the coffin is hoisted out of the trunk by six attendees.Viewers were less than impressed by the stunt, which was labeled by one as “disrespectful.”
“I would literally cancel this wedding,” a second detractor declared, before another chimed in saying it was certainly grounds for divorce. Meanwhile, others noted that the attendees carrying the coffin looked “embarrassed” to be there. An additional critic claimed the coffin could have worked as a prop at a more gothic wedding but looked weirdly out of place at the otherwise-ordinary outdoor service.It’s unclear how the bride reacted to her husband-to-be’s stunt, or whether she played any part in the planning process.
However, some speculated that the groom upstaged his ladylove who would have left her fuming on her big day. “I need to see the bride,” one viewer hilariously concluded, “because if she isn’t 3x as dramatic as him then I don’t want any of it!”
