“I was not actually robbed at gunpoint. I was actually inside. They just took my car. It was one of my friends who was going to get (my car) for me,” Newsome said.
“I’m super grateful,” Newsome said. “You’ve got to thank God at the end of the day. Because it could’ve turned left very quickly. I’m just grateful that Perrion and my friend just made a great decision in not to retaliate in a situation like that, because obviously it can turn south very quick. So life is so precious and I’m just grateful that he’s still here as well.”
“You’ve just got to move a little bit different,” Newsome said. “As normal as I want to be, at the end of the day I’m not. It’s a time and a place for certain things like that, but you’ve just got to move a lot smarter. Obviously not stay out when it’s closing, leave a little bit earlier, have security with you, which is something that I’m starting to do a little bit different. So you definitely just got to move a lot smarter.
