The green-colored comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF), which was first discovered by astronomers in March 2022, will make its closest approach to Earth later in the month.
On a voyage through the inner Solar System comet 2022 E3 will be at perihelion, its closest to the sun, on January 12 and at perigee, its closest to our fair planet, on February 1.
"Observers in the Northern Hemisphere will find the comet in the morning sky, as it moves swiftly toward the northwest during January. ," it said. Comet NEOWISE on July 27, 2020, from the Columbia Icefields from the Toe of the Glacier parking lot, looking north over Sunwapta Lake, formed by the summer meltwater of Athabasca Glacier.
