A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a police officer was run over in Greater Manchester. The 32-year-old man was detained as the police officer was struck by a car after being called to a domestic incident on Beech Road, Sale, at about 10.10pm on Sunday. The officer was 'deliberately' driven over and was 'in and out of consciousness', Greater Manchester Police said.
