Met Office forecasts show a mixed picture
It is likely to be a damp start to the Bank holiday weekend - but some sunshine is expected between the rain and cloud.
But Sunday is likely to be largely dry with sunny spells and it is likely to be much warmer. And there could be further sunny spells on Monday, yet there is the chance of more showers. After a showery start to the day, a further band of rain is expected to move westwards and pass over most of Greater Manchester later this morning , although the downpours are likely to be light.
There could be clearer spells inbetween the patchy light rain but it is likely to remain cloudy and overcast. Temperatures will peak at just 12 degrees celcius and won't reach double figures until late morning meaning it could be chilly at times.
