On Aug. 26 GBHS will open at 9 a.m., three hours earlier than normal, to offer $15 pet adoptions until 5 p.m. or until the shelter is empty according to Stephanie Salvago, GBHS’ director of marketing and public relations.
“The Clear the Shelter Day is always a fun event that GBHS looks forward to each year. Thanks to our partners and supporters, we are confident that people will come to the adoption center to find their next family member and help us empty what is currently a very full shelter,” said Allison Black Cornelius, Chief Executive Officer of GBHS.
Any animal adopted during the event will also receive free preventative care like annual shots, heartworm prevention, and flea and tick prevention for life according to a GBHS press release.
