A life lived at 200 mph will be frozen in time when Katherine Legge is inducted this week into the Long Beach Motorsports Walk of Fame.

She knew she wanted to be a race car driver. But it’s an expensive sport, Legge says, and her family didn’t really have the money then or the knowledge of how to break into the industry. But she had passion. So she kept pushing, working her way up through the ranks, mainly in North America. Yes, Legge has a history with Long Beach. And yes, she’s got the laundry list of racing accomplishments.
