One horse has claimed victory at the world-famous steeplechase at Aintree Racecourse
Thousands of people descended on Aintree Racecourse for the final day of the festival, and to bear witness to the world-famous steeplechase. While the race has previously got underway at a later time, this year's began at 4pm.
The start time move was due to "concerns about the long build-up to the race throughout the day and heightened tension as a result", while the first fence was also moved 60 yards closer to the start to slow the early stages of the race.
