The Huskies had their share of off-court turmoil with the dismissal of Brian Gavlas as coach and the subsequent lawsuit which Gavlas ultimately won, leading to his short-lived return before he retired and McKay was eventually reinstated. “Experience-wise, and age-wise, we’re definitely coming to a little bit of a peak here, but we have some really good guys coming in next year,” said McKay.
“Without doing too, too much math, a 3-1 through our last four pretty much guarantees it and 2-2 puts us in a reasonable spot … ,” said McKay. “We’re in control of our own destiny to host here. We’ve got pretty tough teams that are battling for some playoff spots and their lives.Article content
