Get ready for lift off
The bright flashing lights, screams of thrill-seekers and the aroma of mushy peas and doughnuts are just weeks away with Nottingham's Goose Fair set to descend on the city for a 10-day run. The popular event will return to the Forest Recreation Ground from Friday September 27 to Sunday October 6.
A Goose Fair spokesperson said: "The 180ft tall, 80mph thrill ride is one of the best presented of its kind in the world with its unique space theme. It's already attracted a massive fan base. We can't wait to see this in Nottingham."Amongst the extreme rides returning this year will be the award-winning Air Maxx and the Technical Park Loop Fighter, Red Devil.
Fair-goers looking for more traditional rides will find Jamie Whiting's ghost train, said to be one of the best in the country by many fans, and the historic Gallopers, that were built in 1897 and have been attending Goose Fair since the 1950s.
