CLEVELAND, Ohio — A new lady will be cruising Lake Erie and Cuyahoga River. Pretty soon a dining cruise ship called the Lady Caroline will replacenew ship would be arriving in early May and would likely start sailing in early June. The Nautica Queen has been used by Jacobs Entertainment since 1992.
The Lady Caroline, a nod to CEO Jeffrey Jacob’s daughter, is 120 feet long and has 15,000 square feet of space on board. It has four decks, including three that are climate controlled, and an open-air sky deck that will have a bar, a DJ and panoramic views of the lake. Jacobs Entertainment has only one crew. So once Lady Caroline is ready, the company will no longer sail the Nautica Queen from the company’s dock on the West Bank of the Flats near downtown Cleveland.“We’ve invested significant resources, time and energy into Nautica Queen over the years, but before she became part of our family in 1992 she was embraced by other communities in Ohio and Michigan,” said Executive Vice President Patrick J. McKinley.
