Arlington is preparing for heavy traffic with two high-profile events next door to one another.
“We strongly encourage fans and visitors to come up with a game plan before they get in the car to head to Arlington,” Arlington police spokesman Tim Ciesco said.Perhaps most important, concertgoers and Rangers fans should know some nearby street parking is off-limits. Arlington police will implement special-event parking restrictions Thursday through Sunday, and violators will be towed.
Heavy traffic is expected all four days, but Saturday and Sunday will likely be the most miserable, police predict. Make a plan. Either pre-purchase parking passes or try to identify where you will park before you leave home. That way, you can head directly to the parking lot instead of driving around in search of a spot.
