Good Morning Britain viewers were left seething as they watched a tense interview with George Galloway, who was on the show to discuss his recent by-election win
ITV Good Morning Britain viewers switched off just minutes into a heated exchange between George Galloway and the show's main presenters Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid.
Rishi Sunak said at the time: "It's beyond alarming that last night, the Rochdale by-election returned a candidate that dismisses the horror of what happened on October 7, who glorifies Hezbollah and is endorsed by Nick Griffin, the racist former leader of the BNP". "Everybody makes mistakes" Richard remarked, before probing further into the political past of George Galloway, "I'm just wondering if you look back at your political career, if that was one of them? " Unfazed, George Galloway stood his ground: "I've made lots of mistakes but not that one, that jibe doesn't quite have the sting it used to have."
The exchange intensified when Susanna challenged George again, summarising the situation: "You won't answer questions about a few weeks ago and you won't answer questions about 30 years ago...What is the question you'd like to ask yourself? " The interview concluded with a palpable tension as the presenter thanked George Galloway for joining them. His reply?
