Feeney spent just nine months at the helm of the Oval club
The Glens issued a statement on Friday afternoon confirming the 43-year-old had parted company with the club "by mutual consent".
"Glentoran Football Club has immediately started the process of identifying and appointing our next manager."The Glens were booed off the pitch following their latest malaise, while a number of supporters' clubs reacted by posting hard-hitting statements on social media calling for change at the Oval.
It has been a painful season for the club's loyal fans whose wait for a first league title since 2009 is set to continue.
