“Twisters” star Glen Powell returned to his home state and was inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame at the premiere of the Netflix comedy “Hit Man.” His mom and dad even joined him on the red carpet with support — and hilariously humbling signs!
Glen Powell may be the most famous member of his family, but his parents, Cyndy and Glen Powell Sr., have a knack for making headlines of their own. In May, the playful couple, who stop by TODAY July 17, showed up to a special screening of their son's action film 'Hit Man,' holding signs that poked fun at him. “Stop trying to make Glen Powell happen,” one of the signs read while the other insisted, “It’s never gonna happen.
” Powell's dad proposed to his mom in 1983 Glen Powell Sr. popped the question to his wife in Washington, D.C. in 1983. 'Quick trip to the foot of the Jefferson Memorial…where 40 years ago my dad proposed to my mom. Happy Anniversary, you two. Lucky to have your love in my life every day,' their son captioned images of the couple re-enacting their proposal on Instagram.
