One of four medieval buildings left in Glasgow has taken on a new look as work continues on its £1.6 million restoration. The reopening of the building has been pushed back until 2024.
Glasgow's oldest building is 'almost unrecognisable' as work continues on its £1.6 million restoration.
A new lime harling render has been put on the exterior of the building to preserve its fabric with many shocked by how much the work has changed its well-known appearance. The once-visible brickwork has been covered up by the render with several windows still due to be replaced. Provand’s Lordship dates back to 1471 and is one of only four surviving medieval buildings in Glasgow.
