A Glasgow resident was successfully compensated after not receiving universal credit due to a fault.
The Glasgow Central constituent received an underpayment of £523.45 after contacting the office of Alison Thewliss MP in September.Upon arrival, she moved into the family home and only received one month of payment.
The response from DWP explained that universal credit payments include a child element if claimants are responsible for a child or a qualifying young person who normally lives with them. Alison Thewliss MP said: “Over the past few months, my constituent has been so patient throughout what must have been a distressing time for them and their family.
