Pubs will be able to stay open longer during the bank holiday weekend 🍻
Glasgow City Council's licensing board has granted a one-hour extension to licenced premises across the city, excluding casinos, during the May bank holiday weekend.MOST READ STORY:During the ceremony, the King will be crowned alongside Camilla, the Queen Consort.Meanwhile, bars and nightclubs in the city centre will shut at 4am instead of 3am, and venues outwith the city centre have been permitted to open until 3am instead of 2am.
A statement on the council website read:"In respect of the King's Coronation celebrations, the Licensing Board has determined to grant a general extension of one additional licensed hour beyond the terminal hour to all licensed premises with an on-sales facility on the following dates:The evening of Sunday, May 7, into the early hours of Monday, May 8, 2023."
