The flight from Glasgow Airport to Antalya was forced to divert to Thessaloniki Airport in the North of Greece at around 10.30pm local time on Sunday, October 15, after the passenger showed 'appalling and aggressive behaviour' around two hours into the journey.
A Jet2 flight from Glasgow to Turkey had to make an emergency landing in Greece after an 'intoxicated' passenger became aggressive towards flight crews.
The woman also reportedly injured herself after hitting her face on the seat as staff were unable to calm her down. Jet2 requested the emergency landing citing concerns over the woman's aggressive behaviour. She was taken to the local prosecutor's office where she was charged and referred to the Criminal Court in Thessaloniki.
