Gregor Fleming died after officers were called to a disturbance on a street in Hampden Township, Pennsylvania. The 44-year-old, originally from Thornliebank, was shot dead after he moved towards officers while carrying a gun.

Kelly, 47, paid tribute to Gregor, describing him as a "selfless, kind, generous and loving person" who was an "amazing stepfather" to her four children. An investigation has been launched into Gregor's death by Pennsylvania State Police but Kelly said she had no issues with the actions of the officers involved.
Gregor had been training to be a plumber while in the US and had plans to move back to Scotland with Kelly.
