Great news, Glasgow!
Over 27,000 meals have been provided to food banks in the Trussell Trust’s nationwide network by Deliveroo customers across Glasgow since April 2022.
It comes amid the cost of living crisis which has seen the likes of petrol, shopping and energy bills all rise resulting in millions of households up and down the country being forced to spend less to be able to afford their monthly bills.Deliveroo reached its nationwide goal of providing two million meals through the Trussell Trust network, and more recently, pledged to match donations made by customers across the weekend on Saturday March 4.
The anti-poverty charity supports a UK-wide network of more than 1,300 food bank centres and works towards creating a world where is no need for food banks to exist.
