The BBC 500 Words winners were unveiled during a special episode of The One Show on World Book Day which included Glaswegian schoolboy Spencer who won silver.
A talented young writer from Glasgow was awarded in a BBC writing competition which asked children from up and down the country to submit 500 word stories.
His entry, The Scottish Gangsta, won silver in the 8-11 age group. It was read by Hugh Bonneville who, alongside a number of other celebrities, was also invited to Buckingham Palace for the final.READ MORE: Tragedy as man dies at Glasgow train station after suffering cardiac arrest "That means that between you, you have created more than a million stories of thought-provoking adventure for future generations to study and enjoy.
